Hip-hop has hit its 50-year mark since its inception in the Bronx, New York, and has now become the largest market within the Anglo-American pop genre.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the birth of the hip-hop genre, the audio and music streaming platform, Spotify, has released a list of the greatest hip-hop beats of all time.

As part of their 50th anniversary hip-hop campaign, Spotify introduced a playlist featuring 'The 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Beats of All Time.' This playlist was shared via Spotify's flagship global hip-hop playlist, 'RapCaviar's' official Instagram and Twitter channels.

According to Spotify, "Still D.R.E." by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg topped the list as the greatest hip-hop beat of all time, followed by "Shook Ones, Pt. II" by Mobb Deep, "Grindin'" by Clipse, "Who Shot Ya?" by The Notorious B.I.G., and "A Milli" by Lil Wayne.

Rounding out the top 10 were "POWER" by Kanye West, "It's All About the Benjamins - Remix" featuring Diddy, The Notorious B.I.G., Lil' Kim, The LOX, Stevie J, "Still Tippin'" by Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, "SICKO MODE" by Travis Scott, and "Get Ur Freak On" by Missy Elliott.
