FIFTY FIFTY Achieves Record 9-Week Streak on Billboard Hot 100, Grabs 18th Spot - A Remarkable Feat for K-Pop
Girl group FIFTY FIFTY's track 'Cupid' has achieved a stunning 9-week streak on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
As of May 27, 2023, 'Cupid' claimed the 18th spot on the Billboard Hot 100, marking its continued presence on the chart for the ninth consecutive week.
This achievement has led FIFTY FIFTY to rewrite the record for the longest-running K-Pop girl group song on the Billboard Hot 100. The previous record was held by BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez's collaborative track 'Ice Cream', which stood strong for eight weeks in 2020.
In addition, 'Cupid' has also maintained a steady position within the top 10 on the Billboard Top Streaming Songs chart for six consecutive weeks. Although the chart, which is based on streaming counts within the United States, has previously only seen entry from BLACKPINK among K-Pop girl groups, FIFTY FIFTY's recent success has once again set a new record for longest presence.
Moreover, FIFTY FIFTY has secured the second position on the Billboard Global 200, a chart that combines worldwide music downloads and streaming data, and the first spot on the Billboard Global Excluding U.S. chart, which compiles music downloads and streaming data from regions excluding the U.S. FIFTY FIFTY is the first to achieve a number one position with a debut song on the Billboard Global Excluding U.S. chart.
