BTS Conquers: No Halt in Momentum as They Clinch May's Top Spot in Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
BTS, the renowned K-pop group, has once again triumphed, securing the top spot in the Boy Group Brand Reputation rankings for May.
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed big data pertaining to boy group brands, from April 13 to May 13, 2023. The evaluation included over 50 million data points and examined various indices related to consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community perception.
The top 30 rankings for May 2023's Boy Group Brand Reputation were as follows: BTS, Seventeen, EXO, NCT, BTOB, SHINee, BIGBANG, MONSTA X, Infinite, The Boyz, Stray Kids, VIXX, ASTRO, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Super Junior, ENHYPEN, Wanna One, Pentagon, Teen Top, WINNER, ATEEZ, Highlight, 2PM, TVXQ, Tempest, TREASURE, GOT7, Victon, ONEUS, and SF9.
BTS, comprised of RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, led the rankings with a participation index of 379,559, a media index of 2,835,573, a communication index of 3,343,849, and a community index of 3,390,510. This resulted in a total brand reputation index of 9,949,491, signifying a 5.32% increase compared to their score in April of 9,446,687.
Seventeen placed second, boasting a significant 73.14% increase from their April score of 2,914,260, reaching a total brand reputation index of 5,045,808 in May.
EXO secured the third spot with a brand reputation index of 2,800,840, reflecting a 19.98% increase from their April score of 2,334,329.
NCT ranked fourth, with a brand reputation index of 2,698,772, marking a 32.76% growth from April's score of 2,032,829.
BTOB rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 2,136,822, a 7.95% increase from their April score of 1,979,497.
