Brave Girls Move Forward as 'BB GIRLS': A New Beginning
The 'Reverse Icon' group Brave Girls is making a fresh start as BB GIRLS.
According to Edaily's report on the 3rd, the Brave Girls members, who recently signed an exclusive contract with Warner Music Korea, have chosen BB GIRLS as their new team name.
Brave Girls is a team launched by Brave Entertainment, led by hitmaker Brave Brothers, in 2011. The current team consists of four members: Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna, who joined as new members in 2016. They gained popularity as a girl group by creating a reverse-charting myth in 2021 with their 2017 song 'Rollin'.'
The Brave Girls members' exclusive contract with Brave Entertainment expired in February, and they were without an agency for a while before recently settling in Warner Music Korea. They demonstrated their determination to continue their activities as a complete group. The members also announced the news of their exclusive contract through their respective SNS accounts and hinted at a 'summer comeback.'
As the trademark rights for the existing team name are owned by Brave Entertainment, a change was inevitable to ensure smooth activities in their new nest. After much consideration, the members have chosen BB GIRLS as their new team name, which maintains the team's identity while being catchy and easily remembered by the public. They are currently organizing various schedules under their new name, BB GIRLS.
