ZEROBASEONE's First Live Stream: 'Determined to Work Hard Until We Become One'
The 'Boyz Planet' group ZEROBASEONE has held their first live broadcast, unveiling their team motto and official fan club name for the first time.
ZEROBASEONE (Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Sung Hanbin, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, Park Gunwook, and Han Yujin ) communicated with global fans on May 1st through their first live broadcast on the K-pop culture platform 'Mnet Plus.'
The group decorated their hideout with various items, including signed Polaroid photos and wreaths, to show their fans a bright and brilliant side of themselves. They decided on the hideout rule, "Always shine in the hideout," and the hideout password, "ZB1 in live," abbreviated from "ZEROBASEONE is live." The nine members then introduced stage and off-stage emojis that suit them, and showcased their diverse charms by answering various questions sent by global fans.
As this was ZEROBASEONE's first live broadcast with global fans, they added a touch of specialness by revealing their team motto, hand sign, and official fan club name for the first time. The team motto, "D1, Be the ONE," conveys their determination to work hard with excitement and tension from day one until they become one.
There was intense global interest in the official fan club name for ZEROBASEONE. Approximately 40,000 people participated in the global fan club naming contest held on 'Mnet Plus' from the 24th to the 26th of last month.
ZEROBASEONE announced the official fan club name as 'ZEROZ.' The name is inspired by combining the abbreviation of the team name, ZEBAONE, with 'ROSE,' emphasizing the meaning of 'one.'
Actively communicating with global fans through various SNS channels, ZEROBASEONE has demonstrated strong global power even before their debut, setting a record for the shortest time for a K-pop group to reach 1 million followers. ZEROBASEONE's official Instagram surpassed 1 million followers in just 6 days, while their official TikTok reached the same milestone in 7 days.
ZEROBASEONE is set to perform at 'KCON JAPAN 2023' on May 13th and 14th, showcasing refreshing yet powerful performances that will raise global fans' expectations for their debut to the highest level.
