BTS Suga's Solo Album 'D-Day' Soars to No. 1 on Japan's Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking'
BTS member Suga has demonstrated the power of his alter ego, Agust D, as a fully-fledged artist.
According to the latest chart released by Japan's Oricon on April 22 (for April 21), Suga's solo album "D-Day," which was released on April 21, sold over 110,000 copies and reached No. 1 on the "Daily Album Ranking" immediately after its release.
In the "Daily Digital Single Ranking," the title track "Haegum" ranked 3rd, followed by "Snooze (feat. Ryuichi Sakamoto, Kim Woosung of The Rose)" at 13th, "HUH?! (feat. j-hope)" at 14th, "D-Day" at 15th, "Life Goes On" at 17th, "AMYGDALA" at 18th, "SDL" at 19th, and "Polar Night" at 20th. Nearly all the tracks on the album made it into the 'Top 20.'
"Haegum" also ranked 11th on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart (for April 21) released by the world's largest music streaming service, Spotify, with 3,937,168 streams. As of April 22, the song has topped the iTunes "Top Songs" chart in 90 regions/countries worldwide.
Meanwhile, "D-Day" completes the trilogy of Agust D, following the mixtapes "Agust D" and "D-2." On its first day of release, the album sold over 1.07 million copies, earning it the title of 'million-seller' right away.
