Acclaimed actress Ye Soo-jung has signed an exclusive contract with Y1 Entertainment.

On the 17th, Y1 Entertainment announced, "We are excited to work with Ye Soo-jung, an actress who demonstrates unwavering passion for acting across theater, drama, and film. With her extensive experience and unique acting philosophy, we will provide full support for her continued success. Please look forward to her diverse range of roles."

Debuting with the 1979 play "A Woman Named Loneliness," Ye Soo-jung is a veteran actress with over 40 years of acting experience. She has captivated audiences by playing multi-dimensional characters rather than stereotypical roles, appearing in blockbuster films like "The Thieves," "Train to Busan," and "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds," as well as popular dramas such as "Stranger," "Wonder Woman," "Mine," and "Search: WWW."

In particular, she garnered attention by winning the "Woman Filmmaker of the Year Award" for her first leading role in the 2020 film "An old lady." In the film, which tells the story of 69-year-old Hyo-jung facing social prejudice because of her age, Ye Soo-jung powerfully portrayed a character who refuses to back down against injustice and prepares to confront her assailant. Her performance once again proved her profound acting prowess, effectively conveying the film's heavy message to audiences.

Meanwhile, Ye Soo-jung has completed filming for the movie "Silence," which stars Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, and Kim Hee-won. The film follows the story of people isolated on a collapsing airport bridge, shrouded in impenetrable darkness, as they struggle to survive against unexpected threats lurking within. Ye Soo-jung will play the role of 'Soon-ok' and showcase chemistry with Moon Sung-geun as a married couple.

Y1 Entertainment's roster includes actors Ryu Seung-bum, Park Hyo-joo, Do Ji-han, Kim Sun-hwa, Jeon Hye-won, Kim Eun-woo, Shin Won-ho, Kim Tae-young, Seo Yi-ra, Park Chang-hoon, Kwak Hee-joo, Shin Soo-oh, Kim Joon-kyung, and No Kyung.
