Seong Minji is joining forces with Kim Taeyeon at her new agency, Top Star Entertainment.

On the morning of April 6th, Top Star Entertainment announced, "We have signed an exclusive contract with singer Seong Minji, who has captivated the public with her outstanding talent and charm. We will fully support her growth as a beloved artist."

Seong Minji first gained attention after receiving an Encouragement Award at KBS 1TV's 'National Singing Contest' in 2015. She then went on to win various awards at music competitions, including the Korea Youth Song Festival Singing Award, the Korea Youth Leader Music Award, and the Jirisan Gotgam Song Festival Grand Prize. Last year, she appeared on KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard - Challenge the Dream Stage,' becoming the youngest singer to achieve five wins and leaving a lasting impression on the public.

Notably, in 2021, she participated in TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2,' where she faced strong competition from fellow teenager contestant and powerful contender Jeon Yujin. Seong Minji achieved a surprise victory in a one-on-one death match, showcasing her impressive skills. She has since released various albums, including 'Jjiriri,' 'Farewell Arirang,' and 'Taste Sniper,' to connect with the public.

In a handwritten letter shared on her official fan cafe, Seong Minji expressed her gratitude to fans, saying, "Thanks to the fans who like me, I have made a great connection and become a part of the Top Star Entertainment family. Please look forward to Seong Minji's future activities and continue to send your unwavering love."

Top Star Entertainment is home to artists such as singer Kim Taeyeon and Cheon Jae Won.
