Korean actress Kim Sae Ron, who recently got embroiled in a DUI controversy, is consequently reportedly facing lawsuits from production companies.

Following the DUI controversy, Kim Sae Ron's label, Gold Medalist, released an official apology and disclosed the actress will be withdrawing from the cast of "Trolley", the upcoming K-drama by SBS. She had been cast for the series earlier this year.

Now, according to various reports, there is a possibility that the production house of the Netflix webtoon-turned-drama "Bloodhounds" could sue the actress for possible losses especially if they have to reshoot portions that feature the actress, who plays one of its lead characters.

It is a known fact that production companies sue actors to recover the costs incurred due to re-filming after an actor finds themself in controversy.

Kim Sae Ron has also recently completed the shooting for the upcoming movie "Us, Day by Day", however, the production house of the movie has still not released a statement.

Meanwhile, the official statement released by Gold Medalist said that they wanted to apologize for the late response as it took them some time for confirming the full details of the incident. Incidentally, they shared the official statement on behalf of the celebrity, a full day after the DUI incident made headlines.

The agency added that they sincerely wanted to apologize on the behalf of Kim Sae Ron for causing concern with the DUI accident. They mentioned that at present the actress is being deeply reflective about her actions. Furthermore, she begged the forgiveness of many of those who incurred discomfort and damages due to her actions, and from those who put in an effort for restoring the public utilities that were damaged.

Gold Medalist said that the actress has promised to do all she can to help in damage restoration.

Meanwhile, the South Korean artist was sent home after completing her blood test on May 18, and the agency shared that following that she planned to diligently participate in the police investigation once the test results become available.

Gold Medalist also stated that they felt responsible for the incident, and wanted to apologize once again to all the affected people. They promised to actively engage with the public and do their best to resolve problems promptly. Moreover, they would also do their best to care for their artists so that such events did not occur again.
