On July 20 (Monday), Music Bank has announced its new MCs, in the name of TXT’s Soobin and Oh My Girl’s Arin. The duo will be taking over the show as the brand-new hosts following the separation of the former hosts: Golden Child’s Bomin and Shin Ye Eun, Soompi reported. The previous hosts officially stepped down from their roles on July 17 after a year in the show.
According to Teen Vogue, the new duo will be taking over Music Bank in the upcoming July 24 episode.
Choi Soobin, best known for his screen name Soobin, is a member of TOMORROW X TOGETHER at the young age of nineteen. Since his fuse with the all-boy group, he ventured into various projects; one of them is his famous July 2020 cover in Teen Vogue magazine. The new role of the 19-year-old K-pop idol will be as the show’s main hosts.
Music Bank is a classical music show that first aired in 1988. The said show takes over the regular Friday timeslot in KBS2 and KBS World channels.
The program offers a wide array of airshows, including live performances from the best of South Korean artists and their ever famous K-Chart countdown. The countdown gives prominence to South Korea’s top 50 songs of the moment.
Previously, the all-boy K-pop ensemble TOMORROW X TOGETHER has graced the stage of Music Bank numerous times. Soobin, Taehyun, Yeonjun, Huening Kai, and Beomgyu last performed in the show by promoting their latest “The Dream Chapter: Eternity” album, the quintet performed tracks like “PUMA<” “Fairy of Shampoo,” and “Can’t You See Me?”
On the other idol’s view, Oh My Girl’s Arin is hailed as the youngest member of the group. The 21-year-old vocalist appeared in Music countless times. Her last is when the all-girl group showcased their “Nonstop” track from their EP of the same name.
