BLACKPINK Transforms Into Dolls For Their New Collectible Items
BLACKPINK members, Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo, partner with Toy Company Jazwares to create an irresistible collection of dolls and toys.
BLACKPINK exhibits their first-ever collection of collectible dolls and toys on June 22 which includes three sets of three-inch tall BLACKPINK dolls, all inspired from their most distinct and stand out looks from music videos "Boombayah," "Kill This Love," "Whistle," and "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du."
The Mystery Popstar collection comes with twelve variations of styles packed in a microphone-shaped storage case. In contrast, the Mystery Superstar comes in a much larger heart-shaped packaging that breaks in half, revealing the mystery items mixture of dolls' styles and extra goodies: confetti and a beaded bracelet.
As ET wrote, the beaded bracelet is inspired by the four music videos, which can be Jennie's "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" fennec fox, Rosé "Boombayah" boombox, Jisoo's "Whistle" bool, and Lisa's 'Kill This Love" cereal box.
The dolls and its outfits are removable so one can mix and match and create their favorite get-up. The new collectible dolls have a total number of 12 pieces.
According to the statement by BLACKPINK themselves published by Rolling Stone, the four of them were "so impressed" by the magnitude of each detail on the doll's outfits. "…so precious to see our outfits from our past music videos being styled onto these dolls," the quartet said, adding how they visualize the dolls on top of their bed frames or in their drawers.
Per Jazwares, they have collaboratively worked with the K-Pop superstars in producing "authentic" dolls that best represents the quartet's personality and choice of style. The limited-edition collectible dolls also come with a pre-patterned light-up plush, which Blinks can use during concerts or just at home.
Per Billboard, the all-girl K-Pop ensemble will be releasing a VIP All-Access Box this summer that features accessory items influencing from their 2018 'Square Up' EP.
The BLACKPINK collectible dolls and toys are now available on Amazon and Target.
