The whole South Korean entertainment industry is still in shock at what happened to the passing of comedian Park Ji Sun. However, a past interview from the late comedian has resurfaced online, where she talked about her skin condition.
In the interview, Park Ji Sun was asked about a comment she made in 2010 about scaring viewers from her “bare face” after receiving a year-end award. The late comedian explained that she chooses to go “bare face” in public due to a skin condition, where her skin would hurt and sting like crazy that causes it to have blisters and wounds from scratching.
“When I was a second-year high schooler, I went to the hospital because of my skin condition, and they said it was acne. So I ended up getting multiple dermabrasion procedures, and from those procedures, my skin ended up raw.” Park Ji Sun stated.
She added that the pain got worse that it would itch until she bled in her sleep. So, she would tie her hands with shoelaces before going to sleep, and after that time, she has not had the opportunity to put skin lotion on her face.
Then, at college, Park Ji Sun’s skin condition reappeared after using skin products and other rejuvenating treatment procedures. The skin condition got worse again, spreading onto her body that she was forced to take a year off from college to focus on her health.
Park Ji Sun explained that she does not have any memories about the year gap; she only stayed indoors watching TV or writing letters to her friends because people would freak out when they saw her face.
This revelation has earned her the sympathy of netizens. Some of them have also experienced this in their life and were also able to share their sorrows towards the late comedian's untimely passing online.
