EXO's "dance machine" is set to make long-awaited debut solo soon!

On July 3, News1 reported that Kai is the next EXO member to make a solo debut.

In response to the report, SM Entertainment confirmed, "Kai is preparing a solo album," and added, "We will announce the schedule once it is finalized," Soompi reported.

According to Allkpop, Kai will be debuting as a solo artist in the later part of 2020. By then, he will be the fifth member of EXO to make a solo debut.

On February 3 this year, Kai released a full-length dance practice video of his solo song 'Spoiler' on his personal Instagram account, creating a buzz among the fans that he might be preparing for a solo debut.

'Spoiler' is a solo song that Kai performed at EXO's concert 'EXO PLANET #5 –EXplOration' back in December 2019.

Since he released the dance practice video, fans have been demanding a solo debut for Kai, claiming that he is more than capable of handling the spotlight alone.

During a previous interview on Weibo in January this year, Kai was asked regarding a possible solo debut. Kai responded that he intends to please his fans who have been waiting for his solo release, asking them to anticipate what he has been preparing.

Fans are speculating now that Kai must have been preparing for his debut since then. Considering that details of his solo debut are still in the dark, fans of the idol are starting to guess and anticipate what kind of concept Kai has in store.
