James Corden Picks BTS' Jimin Over Harry Styles During The ‘Late Late Night Show’
On a September 24 episode of "The Late Late Show With James Corden," the host was asked to pick his favorite artist between BTS Jimin and Harry Styles.
In one of the show's segments, "Spill Your Guts," Alicia Keys asked him to either tell the truth or drink a questionable drink, which the comment reads "Both Harry Styles and BTS' Jimin, better known as "baby mochi," are great friends of the show. Who is your favorite."
As soon as Alicia Keys finished reading the question, James Corden's jaw dropped in surprise at the bold question. The late show host explained that it was nearly impossible to answer the question saying, "This is like asking me to choose between my parents."
Instead of drinking the liquid in front of him, James Corden answered truthfully, starting with a disclaimer to Harry Styles' fans saying that he really love Harry for a long, long time. Then, he explained why he would pick BTS Jimin over anybody else, saying, "I love my Baby mochi. I'm Papa Mochi, and he's Baby Mochi."
Both Harry Styles and BTS have been guests in the show and have displayed a strong bond with James Corden. Both artists have been in the show's segment "Carpool Karaoke," where Corden drives around Los Angeles with the most prominent musical artists as guests and tries to sing the artist's music discography while entertaining the studio audience.
The strong relationship with BTS and James Corden began when the British host invited the K-pop group to a segment of "Carpool Karaoke," where he pointed out that Jimin was called "mochi" by fans for his cute visuals. The idol jokingly nicknamed James "Papa Mochi" while he became "baby mochi," and both parties laughingly acknowledged it.
Meanwhile, James Corden and Harry Styles' strong relationship, on the other hand, has always been a given as they both have the same nationalities.
Harry Styles has been in the show multiple times, such as in the "Carpool Karaoke," performing in "Crosswalk Concert," where the artist was singing his hits in oncoming traffic. Harry also hosted "The Late Late Show With James Corden" after James had to head to the hospital for his daughter's birth.
