Hwasa Oozes With Charisma In Her Hot New MV For 'Maria'
Queen Hwasa is charismatic as ever in her newly dropped music video for her single track 'Maria'!
On June 29 at 6 p.m. KST, MAMAMOO's youngest member released her first mini-album 'María' and the music video for the title track. The release of her album marks her first comeback since her solo debut in 2019 with track 'Twit.'
Hwasa's latest title track catches the viewers' attention with her upbeat music and aesthetically pleasing video. However, the lyrics of the song are really more of a plea for people to stop bothering her and stop hating on her, she sings of being hurt by others but crying it out and standing up once again for herself.
According to Soompi's report, Hwasa participated in the composition and lyric writing for the title track 'Maria' with producer Park Woo Sang.
"Just go on your way. Why are you all doing this, making me sad."
Fans have pointed out that Hwasa's birth name is Maria and has speculated that the song's message is from Hwasa to her haters, just like her debut track 'Twit' in 2019.
Although she talks about being hurt in her songs, Hwasa is actually known for her headstrong and confident image. Even though she is curvy and does not have the typical body of an idol, she had no qualms about showing off her body and fearless outfits.
In her newly uploaded video, she once again takes on the sexy image confidently. Spiced up with bold and sexy dance moves, Hwasa is sure to set the stage on fire on her future performances.
On June 23, Hwasa's label, RBW Entertainment, announced that she had to cancel all her activities due to a back injury. Although there was no significant damage, the doctors still suggested for her to rest since it might worsen if she continues to promote, Soompi reported.
Hwasa's promotions for 'Maria' are still on hold, and RBW Entertainment has released no further updates. Fans wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her soon perform her title track 'Maria' on music shows.
