It can be recalled that on April 27, 2020, Jimin's solo song, "Lie," has also surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.
It was on August 24, 2018, when "Serendipity (Full Length Edition)" was released and was included in BTS's album "Love Yourself: Answer." The soulful song was well-loved by fans, as it talks about finding love unexpectedly but know that it is meant to be. "Serendipity" was also selected by ARMYs as the "top song which reminds them of Jimin" in the recent BTS Festa 2020.
Furthermore, It can be noted that the song has received love from more than just K-pop fans and ARMY as well-known professional artists who were able to recognize and fell in love with the music! One instance is the member of the legendary R&B boy group Boyz II Men, Shawn Stockman, who has expressed his passion for Jimin and "Serendipity" on social media. Also, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Khalid has described his love for the song.
Jimin's "Lie" was also included in the BTS album "Wings" and was released in 2016. The song has received praise by critics and by fans for being stunning and dramatic, which expresses darker undertones and emotions that matched the concept of the album perfectly.
Meanwhile, fans trended two hashtags on Twitter: #SerendipityFull100M and #RecordMakerJimin to congratulate BTS on his monumental achievement. The hashtags trended in South Korea, with both international and Korean ARMYs sending the idol love.
