BTS Jimin's 'Who' Breaks Records with 300 Million Streams on Spotify
BTS member Jimin's solo track "Who" has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 300 million streams on Spotify, making it the fastest solo song by a K-pop artist to achieve this feat in the platform's history.
On August 17, Jimin's "Who" recorded a total of 326,675,813 streams on Spotify, securing the top spot on the platform's "Global Daily Top Songs" chart after just 30 days. This remarkable achievement sets a new record for the fastest solo song by a K-pop artist to reach 300 million streams on Spotify.
On the same day, "Who" dominated Spotify charts globally, appearing on the charts of over 50 countries. The track secured the number one spot in 14 countries, including South Korea and Japan, further solidifying its global popularity.
Since its release on July 19, "Who" has continued to show strong momentum, debuting with an impressive 9,999,083 streams on Spotify. As of August 19, the song has held the number one position on the "Global Daily Top Songs" chart for 20 consecutive days, establishing Jimin's influence as a solo artist.
Jimin has also made a strong presence on Spotify's "Global Daily Artist" chart, ranking at number 43, the highest position for a K-pop artist. He has remained on this chart for 281 days. On the "Korea Daily Artist" chart, Jimin has maintained the top spot for 390 days (585 days consecutively, with a total of 744 days on the chart). In the U.S., Jimin is the only K-pop solo artist to rank in the top 100, currently holding the 72nd position.
"Who" debuted at number three on the Spotify "Global Daily Top Songs" chart and has remained in the top five for over 30 consecutive days, demonstrating its sustained popularity.
Despite being in its fourth week since release, "Who" continues to perform strongly on major charts, maintaining its position at number 29 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number six on the Global 200 chart, showcasing stable streaming numbers and a high ranking.
