Chiquita of YG Entertainment's New Girl Group BabyMonster: A New Phenomenon Surpassing Lisa?
YG Entertainment's upcoming girl group BabyMonster has officially begun its debut promotions, turning heads with the reveal of the Thai youngest member, Chiquita's visuals.
On November 13, YG Entertainment released a series of visual concept photos and a visual film titled 'BABYMONSTER - VISUAL FILM | CHIQUITA', 'BABYMONSTER - VISUAL PHOTO | CHIQUITA'.
Born in 2009, Chiquita captivated attention with her powerful gaze and sophisticated visuals despite being the youngest. Her vibrant orange hair, coupled with black and red street fashion and high-top shoes, showcased a hip charm while also displaying the dual appeal of a young girl's innocence. This has heightened anticipation for her future stage performances.
Especially noteworthy is Chiquita's Thai nationality, drawing parallels with Blackpink's Lisa, who is immensely popular in Asia, particularly in her home country. Chiquita is expected to continue the legacy of Lisa's popularity.
Yang Hyun-suk, the executive producer, previously expressed his fondness for Chiquita, hoping she would gain as much popularity and global influence as her senior, Lisa. Chiquita herself has expressed ambitions to become an artist loved worldwide.
Chiquita has already proven her all-around talent through previously released vocal live videos and reality programs. As BabyMonster commences its debut countdown, unveiling the charms of other members sequentially, attention is focused on whether Chiquita will surpass the success of Lisa to become the 'monster maknae'.
