BTS Jungkook Captivates with No. 1 Spot, Humble Gratitude, and Flawless Encore: Love for Fans Ever Present
BTS Jungkook showcased his humility in the face of success on 'Inkigayo', a popular SBS music program.
On the 30th, Jungkook of BTS presented the stage for 'Seven', a first for a domestic music program, as a token of gratitude for his fans' unwavering support.
Before his performance, Jungkook was asked about his feelings on ranking No.1 on the 'Billboard Hot 100'. He responded, "I had faith in the track. Still, I can't help but think this precious outcome is due to the love from ARMY."
He further added, "'Seven' is a captivating summer hit. I'm confident you won't tire of it. Please listen to it a lot."
He expressed that the performance was his way of giving back to his fans, stating, "I've just finished my overseas schedule and returned because I missed you all. I would be grateful if you enjoyed the performance," expressing his affection towards the ARMY, BTS's fandom.
Subsequent to this, BTS's Jungkook's solo track 'Seven', NCT DREAM's 'ISTJ', and NewJeans's 'Super Shy' were announced as the contenders for first place.
The honor of the No.1 spot was clinched by Jungkook, who appeared surprised and humble, saying, "I wasn't expecting to win, I'm so grateful."
Jungkook expressed, "I wasn't prepared for a response" and appeared flustered. He nevertheless pledged, "I'm grateful and since 'Seven' had a good start, I'll strive to continue making good music. Thank you." His humility was evident throughout.
Jungkook then proceeded to present a flawless live encore performance.
Recently, Jungkook's debut solo single 'Seven' entered the main single chart 'Hot 100' at No.1.
Jungkook is the second BTS member to reach the top of the 'Hot 100' following Jimin's 'Like Crazy' in April. This is particularly noteworthy as it marks the 68th time a track has shot straight to No.1 on the 'Hot 100' upon entry. Despite the sudden rule change by Billboard, Jungkook proved his resilience by securing the 'Hot 100' top spot.
After the rankings were revealed, Jungkook wrote on the fan community platform Weverse, "Let's go higher," displaying his burning passion.
Billboard explained, "BTS has become the ninth group in history to have multiple individual members reach the top of the 'Hot 100', joining the ranks of The Beatles, The Black Eyed Peas, Destiny's Child, and Genesis."
Moreover, Jungkook's exceptional love for his fans has been a recent hot topic. On the morning of the 26th, Jungkook discovered the existence of a fan-made music video for the fan song 'Love Letters' during a live broadcast.
Jungkook appreciated the video filled with love for the BTS members, the affectionate lyrics, and heartfelt vocals. Overwhelmed with emotions, he exclaimed, "What is this? Why didn't I know about it? It was a month ago, why am I seeing it now? Was I the only one who didn't know?" and couldn't help shedding tears.
Jungkook, known within the team for being stoic, couldn't lift his head due to his tears, displaying his deep love for his fans.
