Oh Jung-se to Reunite with Writer Lim Sang-Choon in Netflix's New Series 'I Was Fooled', Co-starring IU and Park Bo-gum
Actor Oh Jung-se is set to reunite with writer Lim Sang-choon in the new series, "I Was Fooled."
On July 25, according to OSEN's report, Oh Jung-se will be appearing in the Netflix original series "I Was Fooled," penned by writer Lim Sang-choon.
A representative from Oh's agency, Prain TPC, confirmed the same day, "It is true that Oh Jung-se will be appearing in 'I Was Fooled.'" Netflix also announced, "Oh Jung-se will be featured in 'I Was Fooled.'"
"I was Fooled" is a drama set in the 1950s on Jeju Island, and unravels the adventurous lives of "naughty rebel" Aesoon and "reluctant blacksmith" Gwansik, according to the four seasons. The title of the show is a Jeju dialect phrase meaning "you've worked hard." The series is a collaboration between Lim Sang-choon, a beloved writer known for creating syndromes with KBS 2TV dramas "Baek Hee Has Returned," "Fight for My Way," and "When the Camellia Blooms," and director Kim Won-seok, recognized for his delicate directing in "Misaeng," "Signal," and "My Mister."
Oh Jung-se reunites with writer Lim Sang-choon in "I Was Fooled." Oh Jung-se had previously played the role of No Kyu-tae in 'When the Camellia Blooms,' for which he won Best Male Supporting Actor in the Mid-length Drama category at the 2019 KBS Drama Awards and the Best Couple Award. He also won the Best Male Supporting Actor in the TV category at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Since then, Oh Jung-se has appeared in dramas such as "Stove League," "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," "Model Detective," and "Uncle," and is currently appearing as Yeom Hae-sang in the SBS drama "Evil Spirit." With upcoming works like "Sweet Home Seasons 2 and 3," "Ask the Stars," and "Mr. Plankton," the news of Oh Jung-se's participation in "I Was Fooled" is raising anticipation.
Meanwhile, IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, and Park Hae-jun have previously been confirmed to appear in Netflix's "I Was Fooled," which is currently in production.
