BTS Jungkook Breaks Records with 'Seven': Fastest to 100 Million Streams on Spotify, Surpassing Miley Cyrus
BTS member Jungkook has achieved a historic milestone by garnering 100 million streams on Spotify within just six days.
Jungkook's solo single "Seven" has recorded the fastest ever 100 million streams (before filtering) on Spotify, the world's largest music platform, showcasing an unparalleled popularity and impact.
Organizations like the "World Music Awards" (WMA), often referred to as Europe's Billboard, "Chart Data", and "Pop Base" which provide real-time updates on global music charts via Twitter, announced through their official accounts, "Jungkook's 'Seven' has become the fastest song to reach 100 million streams in Spotify's history, reaching this milestone within just six days."
"Seven" shattered the previous Spotify record for fastest 100 million streams set by Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" in seven days. Adele's "Easy on Me" and Harry Styles' "As It Was" had each taken eight days to reach 100 million streams on Spotify.
Jungkook demonstrated his tremendous influence and popularity worldwide with "Seven", which also set the record for fastest 50 million streams on Spotify in just three days. Jungkook previously made history with 'Seven' by becoming the first K-pop solo artist to top the Spotify "Global Top Songs Daily" chart for nine consecutive days. He also secured the number one spot on the 'Global Top Songs Weekly' chart from July 14th to 20th.
"Seven" entered the Spotify "Global Top Songs Daily" chart at number one with 15,995,378 streams (after filtering), making Jungkook the first Korean solo artist to debut at number one on the Spotify Global chart. He also became the first K-pop artist to debut at number one on the Spotify "US Daily Top Songs" chart.
In addition, with "Seven", Jungkook achieved the highest daily streaming debut for an Asian artist in the history of the Spotify Global chart. He placed third worldwide for daily streaming debut after filtering and fifth worldwide before filtering, setting new records for "fastest", "first", and "most" on the platform.
Besides, "Seven" secured the third spot on the UK Official "Top 100 Singles" chart, making Jungkook the first Korean solo artist to debut in the top five of this chart upon release. Moreover, 'Seven' debuted at number one on both the Official Singles Sales chart and the Single Downloads chart and secured the fifth spot on the Streaming chart.
"Seven" topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 113 countries (regions) and maintained its position at the top of the Worldwide iTunes Top Songs chart for eight consecutive days, proving its global popularity.
