The late Choi Sung-bong has been laid to rest.
The funeral procession of the late Choi Sung-bong took place at 5 a.m. today (July 16, KST).
Previously, on June 20 at 9:41 a.m., authorities found the late Choi Sung-bong deceased in his residence in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
However, due to the absence of family members willing to receive the body, he was classified as a person who died without relatives, and his body was temporarily stored in a freezer.
In the midst of this, Mr. A, who had worked as Choi Sung-bong's manager, decided to hold a funeral for Choi Sung-bong at his own expense.
Mr. A and Mr. B, who had been close friends with the deceased, were listed as the chief mourners.
Choi Sung-bong's funeral was held over two days, and condolences were also received from fans.
Choi Sung-bong was known as the runner-up of tvN's 'Korea's Got Talent' season 1, but he was mired in controversy due to false claims of battling cancer and embezzlement of donations. Eventually, he left a message implying a drastic choice, and his departure from the world brought sorrow.
Meanwhile, Choi Sung-bong's body was cremated at the Seoul Memorial Park and is expected to be interred at Eden Memorial Park in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do.
