Lee Jun-ho and YoonA are Dating: From Dream On-screen Duo to Real-life Couple!
Actors Lee Jun-ho and YoonA (Im Yoon-ah), renowned for their dynamic chemistry, are now dating in real life, not just on the small screen.
An entertainment industry insider recently hinted to The PROOF, "Lee Jun-ho and YoonA developed a romantic relationship before the shooting of JTBC's weekend drama 'King The Land'. Their joint participation in this work was also due to that relationship."
Lee Jun-ho and YoonA have been widely praised for their spectacular couple dance and co-hosting the MBC 'Gayo Daejejeon' for two consecutive years since 2021. Their seamless on-screen chemistry had fans dubbing them the ultimate "wish-fulfillment" couple, and the anticipation soared when they were both cast in 'Kingderland'; Lee playing the role of a grumpy third-generation chaebol Goo-won, and Im as a bright and lively hotelier, Cheon-sa-rang.
Born in 1990 and thus being the same age, both of them debuted in the entertainment industry around the same time, Lee with the group '2PM' and YoonA with 'Girls' Generation'. They both successfully transitioned from their glamorous idol careers to acting, becoming popular as "acting-dols".
Given these commonalities, they naturally grew closer to each other, and it is reported that they are seriously dating.
Such a 'real-life couple chemistry' is driving the success of 'King The Land'. Despite initial criticisms of predictable storylines and cliches, the drama managed to exceed a 10% viewer rating three days into its release, demonstrating a balanced mix of content power and buzz.
Lee Jun-ho, who debuted in the film 'Cold Eyes', has since received praise for his acting skills in 'Twenty', 'Memories of the Sword', KBS2's 'Chief Kim', and tvN's 'Confession'. He gained peak popularity through MBC's historical drama 'Red Sleeve', which ended last year.
From the start of her career, YoonA balanced idol and acting activities. After establishing herself as an actress through KBS2's 'You Are My Destiny', she went on to perform in 'Prime Minister and I', 'Love Rain', MBC's 'Hush', 'Big Mouth', and films 'Exit', 'Miracle', and the 'Confidential Assignment' series.
