BTS' Fan Tribute Song 'Take Two' Hits No. 48 on Billboard Hot 100: First Chart Entry in a Year
The fan tribute song 'Take Two' by top idol group BTS (RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook), released in celebration of their 10th anniversary since debut, has made its mark at No. 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Billboard announced on June 21 (Korean Standard Time) through their official Twitter, "BTS' new song 'Take Two' has climbed to No. 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of June 24, 2023."
Alongside this, 'Take Two' concurrently achieved No. 1 on both the Billboard Global (excluding the US) and Billboard Global 200 charts.
This is the first entry onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a song by all BTS members in a year.
BTS previously demonstrated their enduring popularity in June 2022 with the title track 'Yet To Come' (The Most Beautiful Moment) from their anthology album 'Proof', capturing No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
'Take Two' is a fan song richly imbued with the heartfelt sentiments and stories that BTS wanted to share with their fans on their 10th anniversary (debut date June 13). BTS recounted the days walked together with their fandom ARMY and the days to come under the theme of 'take two'. The song carries a message that the past decade since their debut in 2013 was the first beginning, and everything from that point to the forthcoming second act of BTS has been possible due to the constant presence of the ARMY.
'Take Two' is a track with added authenticity, with Suga contributing to the production, and RM and J-Hope participating in the songwriting. BTS collected their gratitude for the ARMY who have shared their brightest moments, their appreciation for the love sent by fans, and their hopes to continue together in the future, all encapsulated in 'Take Two'.
