TWICE's Historic Achievement: First Ever Female Group to Sell Out SoFi Stadium, Radiating Global Pride
"TWICE, a Source of Pride for Fans Worldwide!"
TWICE continues to dominate the global stage, becoming a source of immense pride for their international fandom known as ONCE. On June 10th, the group held a solo concert at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, as part of their fifth world tour, 'TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE''. In a momentous achievement, TWICE became the only female group to ever sell out a show at the SoFi Stadium, marking a new chapter in global music history.
Over 50,000 fans gathered at the SoFi Stadium to witness the TWICE concert, openly expressing their pride in being fans. Rita, donned in a TWICE world tour t-shirt and holding a Candy Bong (TWICE's lightstick), said, "I'm elated to have attended all of TWICE's concerts in Los Angeles, from their first solo concert at the Forum to the Bank of California Stadium, and now, the SoFi Stadium. The progression of TWICE's growth from afar has been truly touching. Seeing the members always striving for their best is very meaningful, and it's gratifying to be a part of their journey as a fan. Thanks to TWICE's efforts, fans like myself can meet them at such large venues."
With every album and world tour, TWICE continues to captivate fans with fresh visual concepts and alluring charms. Fans who covered TWICE's costumes or makeup were easily spotted in the crowd. Sydney and Jeila, who reenacted the outfit of Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung's special stage, said, "We love everything about TWICE: their visuals, performances, and music. We are heavily influenced by them, aspiring to be 'like TWICE', just as the term 'idol' suggests. Their dedication to performing globally instills pride in us, providing positive energy. TWICE being the first female group to perform at the SoFi Stadium is a matter of pride for ONCE. We're delighted that they've had more opportunities to interact with fans overseas, and we hope they get more of these opportunities in the future."
As the anticipation filled the faces of the 50,000-strong crowd before the concert, Brooklyn, who came from San Diego, could not contain her excitement. When asked about her favorite TWICE song, she bashfully replied, "Since 'CHEER UP', my favorite song has changed with every new album release. It's incredibly hard for me to pick just one performance I'm most looking forward to in this concert."
After the monumental concert, Ray and Sonya, who could not hide their excitement as they sang and danced in the plaza in front of the SoFi Stadium, exclaimed, "It was undeniably the best concert we've ever seen. The 150-minute performance was so exhilarating, there wasn't a moment of rest. TWICE always exceeds expectations with their performances and makes their fans happy. We hope TWICE continues to perform at stadiums worldwide so they can meet more ONCE."
SoFi Stadium, with an area of about 1.2 million square meters - approximately six times the size of the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul - has allowed TWICE's influence and global presence to be felt more than ever before. By being the first female group to perform a sold-out concert at a stadium, TWICE not only solidifies their status in the hearts of ONCE, but also sets the stage for their unprecedented world tour across 22 cities with 36 performances, ready to mesmerize their global fans.
