BTS's Jin made a surprise appearance on 'Sugafesta.'

On June 11 (KST), an episode featuring Jin as a guest was posted on the official BTS YouTube channel, 'Bangtan TV.' Recorded prior to his military enlistment in December, the content came with a subtitle indicating that it was released in the warm month of June, per the artist's request.

Making his first guest appearance since 'Sugafesta' became a regular feature, Jin shared his pre-enlistment updates saying, "I've been gaming, seeing my family, and found out I have more friends than I thought who wanted to meet." He added, jokingly, "Suga was so persistent about having me on the show that I gave in, even though my enlistment was just four days away. Suga then confessed that scheduling Jin was quite a challenge.

When Suga asked about his decision to appear on 'Sugafesta', Jin replied, "The members suggested I go on. They thought fans would love seeing me with Suga while I'm away in the military."

Before his enlistment, Jin revealed a unique alcohol gift he prepared on 'Late Night Drink Talks,' a bottle of 'Saehae Brothers' spirits fermented with the help of celebrity chef Baek Jong-won and a traditional alcohol expert. Jin reminisced, "I made a promise with chef Baek Jong-won. He agreed to prepare a lot of alcohol while I'm in the military, so when I return, I can give it as a gift to our fans and fellow members." Suga praised the drink, ranking it among the top five traditional spirits he has recently tasted.

In a moment of reflection, Suga brought up a conversation they had two years ago during the filming of 'In The Soop,' where he once mentioned wanting to be more like Jin. Jin responded, "You are now similar to me. You're doing exactly what I advised: to forget the past. Stress you had about that is now a thing of the past." He comforted Suga, telling him that he has been following his advice to remember what he wants to and forget the rest.

Suga then revealed that Jin once sought him out when he was struggling and they spent nearly a week together. To this, Jin expressed his gratitude, mentioning how it led to the creation of the song 'Abyss'. Suga comforted Jin, saying that he sees a unique domain that only Jin possesses, even though Jin once expressed concern about not having one like the other members.

When Suga asked Jin about the secret to his positive mindset, Jin jokingly responded, "I think it's because I'm a fool." Suga laughed, retorting that Jin was too educated to say such a thing, given his four-year degree from a top university in Seoul - a feat none of the other members (except Jin) has accomplished.

In a surprise turn of events, J-Hope popped in, masquerading as the cameraman. They shared a good laugh when Jin revealed that he came to the recording straight out of bed, looking as natural as he usually does without hair and makeup. J-Hope burst out laughing, saying that he could give Jin a haircut, and they playfully speculated about the potential for a ratings boost. They all shared the 'Saehae Brothers' spirit, with Jin emphasizing the brotherly bond they share within the BTS family.

Suga singled out Jin's collaboration with Coldplay as a memorable moment. Jin revealed the behind-the-scenes story, "I had a lot of worries. If I had several songs on the album like Namjoon, I would have rented out a concert hall and performed, but I only had 'The Astronaut' on this album. I felt sorry for performing only one song for the fans, so I couldn't proceed with it. I heard that Coldplay was on tour, so I asked Chris Martin if I could be a guest at their concert. It took a week to prepare for one day of performance. The stage footage came out really beautifully."

When Suga asked, "Weren't you nervous without the members?" Jin responded, "I'm simple and not the type to get nervous about such things, but I get nervous three minutes before going on stage," adding, "I also thought Jungkook did a great job watching his 'Dreamers' performance this time."

The trio also recalled the time when they cried during their acceptance speech at the 2018 MAMA Awards. Jin shared, "When we were doing 'FAKE LOVE', we had only 1.5 days off in a month and were active for three months like that. The company said 'that's how you can succeed', and we thought 'they're not wrong' but it was tough." Suga explained, "The atmosphere was too good. 2018 was probably 'FAKE LOVE' and 'IDOL' for us."

Jin continued, "We worked like that but it was so hard physically and mentally that I wanted to quit. 'I really can't do this job anymore, let's quit'." Suga reflected, "We didn't know if we were going through such a difficult time, but it seemed like a highlight during our stage performance." J-Hope added, "I think we were underdogs until 2018." Suga expressed his affection for the members, "The good thing about our members is that they willingly do it if there is good content. I realized that watching 'Run BTS'. I really thought I was born with luck."

When Suga wondered, "What would Min Yoongi in his 30s be doing if he wasn't BTS?" Jin jokingly replied, "I would have been ruined, honestly. I can't do things voluntarily. I'm pretty diligent in doing what I'm told. I rarely go out and I don't meet people much, I'm what you call a 'homebody'. I think I would've been playing games at home and getting a lot of scoldings from my parents." As J-Hope teased Jin about the latter's well-groomed looks despite his lifestyle, Jin added, "I still hear that a lot." When Jin said, "Whatever J-Hope did would've been great because he's the exact opposite of me in terms of vitality," J-Hope responded, "I might have been doing something under the guys who love to dance. I can't do anything else." Suga added, "I wouldn't be able to do anything but compose, so I guess I would've been a composer."

Jin and Suga continued their 'old roommates' talk. Jin shared, "When Yoongi was having a hard time, we were the only members who would escape to drink. If I came in after drinking first, Yoongi would come in later and say 'I love you, hyung'. We didn't touch each other's areas. No luggage crossed over," expressing satisfaction with their 6-year roommate life.

When Jin asked if there was a time he wanted to go back to, he responded, "I don't necessarily want to go back to the past," and said, "I'm curious about what kind of relationship our members will have in 2050. I wonder if we'll be living as we said we would in 'Bangtan Village'." Jin added, "I think I've achieved my dream. My dream has been 'to live happily' for decades. All I have to do is be happy even after ten years," and revealed that his standard of happiness is "doing what I want to do."
