BTS Conquers Japan: 'The Planet' from 'Bestians' OST Hits No. 1 on Oricon
Korean boy band BTS has seized control of the Japanese Oricon chart.
According to the latest chart announced by Japan's Oricon on May 13 (as of May 12th), BTS's 'The Planet' from the 'Bestians' OST, released on the 12th, soared straight to No. 1 on the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking' immediately upon its release.
'The Planet' also claimed the 19th spot on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' latest chart (as of May 12th), having been streamed 2,956,589 times. This track has previously proven its global popularity by topping the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 67 countries/regions (as of 9 a.m. on the 13th).
'The Planet' is the title song of the 3D action-hero animation 'Bestians' OST. It is composed with an easy-to-follow melody. A lively and hopeful melody harmonizes with BTS's refreshing vocals.
