BLACKPINK Clinches 'No. 1 Girl Group Brand' for May
BLACKPINK has secured the top spot as the girl group with the highest brand reputation for May.
On the 14th, the Korea Corporate Reputation Institute announced the results of the big data analysis for the girl group brand reputation in May 2023. BLACKPINK was announced as the first, followed by IVE in second place, and Newjins in third.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Institute analyzed 58,335,055 pieces of big data from April 14 to May 14 to measure the brand reputation index for girl groups. The data was analyzed based on indices such as participation, media, communication, and community. Compared to the 55,611,462 pieces of big data from April, there was an increase of 4.90%.
The brand reputation index is a measure created through brand big data analysis, discovering that consumers' online habits greatly influence brand consumption. The girl group brand reputation index measures positive and negative evaluations of girl groups, media interest, and the volume of consumer interest and communication. Channel analysis of the brand reputation monitor was also included.
The top 30 girl group brand reputations for May are BLACKPINK, IVE, Newjins, Leseraphim, aespa, TWICE, (G)I-DLE, Apink, NMIXX, OH MY GIRL, Girls' Generation, Red Velvet, Signature, Highkey, MAMAMOO, Cosmic Girls, fromis_9, Girl's Day, Kepler, STAYC, Dreamcatcher, Billlie, EXID, ITZY, Laboum, LOONA, woo!ah!, APRIL, Mirae, and DreamNote.
BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) topped the list with a brand reputation index of 6,734,798, calculated from a participation index of 274,584, media index of 1,235,701, communication index of 1,696,423, and community index of 3,528,090. This was a 17.13% decrease from their April brand reputation index of 8,126,951.
IVE (Ahn Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz, Leeseo), who came in second place, saw their brand reputation index analyzed as 5,952,401, with a participation index of 804,440, media index of 1,963,614, communication index of 1,183,646, and community index of 2,000,701. This is an 81.31% increase from their April brand reputation index of 3,282,997.
Newjins (Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein), who ranked third, had a brand reputation index of 4,823,782, with a participation index of 466,072, media index of 1,125,315, communication index of 1,683,997, and community index of 1,548,398. This was an 11.14% decrease from their April brand reputation index of 5,428,500.
