BLACKPINK's Jisoo's 'Flower' MV Surpasses 200 Million Views, Marking 30th Achievement for the Group
BLACKPINK's Jisoo's music video for "Flower" has surpassed 200 million views.
According to YG Entertainment on May 10, KST, Jisoo's "Flower" music video exceeded 200 million views on YouTube at around 10:32 AM that day. It took approximately 40 days since its release on March 31st to join the group's 30th video with 200 million views.
Jisoo's first solo album "ME" title track "Flower" is a song characterized by a unique bass sound and minimal arrangement. The poetic lyrics and melody blend harmoniously with Jisoo's unique vocals, creating a strong, dreamy atmosphere.
The song topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 64 countries, including the United States. It also ranked second on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. It entered the Spotify Daily Top Songs Global chart and the UK Official Singles Top 100 chart at 6th and 38th, respectively. It broke a new record for K-pop female solo artists, surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify in just 32 days.
The album sales were also impressive. Between March 31st and April 6th, it sold a total of 1,172,351 copies, setting a new record for the highest initial sales of a K-pop female solo artist and achieving 'million-seller' status.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, which Jisoo is a member of, is currently holding the largest-scale world tour for a K-pop girl group, "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR 'BORN PINK'", with approximately 1.5 million attendees.
