LE SSERAFIM Takes the World by Storm, Dominating Global Charts
K-pop group LE SSERAFIM is sweeping the charts on YouTube and Spotify.
According to the world's largest streaming company, Spotify, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eun-chae) ranked 71st on the global 'Daily Top Songs' chart with their new song 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)' on May 1st. Released at 6 PM on the same day, the song has been streamed 1,559,340 times on Spotify alone, proving LE SSERAFIM's global popularity.
'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)' has shown an impressive presence on charts in a total of 18 countries/regions, including 2nd place in Korea's 'Daily Top Songs,' 6th in Singapore, 11th in Taiwan, 21st in Hong Kong, and 30th in Malaysia. In Korea and Singapore, all seven tracks from their first full-length album 'UNFORGIVEN' have made it into the ranking.
LE SSERAFIM has started their success by ranking 73rd globally, 3rd in Korea, and 4th in Singapore on Spotify's 'Daily Top Artists' chart. On the day of release, they caught attention by entering the US 'Daily Top Songs' and 'Daily Top Artists' charts at 161st and 123rd, respectively.
The music video for their title track 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)' from their first full-length album surpassed 20 million views on YouTube within 27 hours of release, around 9 PM on May 2nd. At the same time, the music video and comeback stage video ranked 1st and 2nd in Korea's YouTube trending videos, highlighting LE SSERAFIM's popularity.
On May 2nd (local time), the title track 'ANTIFRAGILE' from LE SSERAFIM's 2nd mini-album remained at 164th on the 'Billboard Global (Excluding the US)' chart (dated May 6th), marking its 28th consecutive week on the chart. It remains to be seen whether 'ANTIFRAGILE' and 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)' will both make it onto the Billboard charts next week.
