'Boys Planet' Finalists Tear Up as Global Fans Show Overwhelming Support; Debut Group Named 'ZEROBASEONE'
The finalists of the popular Mnet reality show "Boys Planet" couldn't hold back their tears as they received messages of support from their global fan base during a recent episode. On the April 20 broadcast, the top 18 contestants enjoyed a pajama party, which showcased their various talents and charms.
Hosted by Park Hanbin and Kim Junhyun, the event took an emotional turn when more than 9,000 messages from fans worldwide arrived as a surprise gift for the contestants. The young stars were visibly moved by the outpouring of support, with one participant, Lee Junghyun, expressing his gratitude by saying, "You've prepared something like this for us again."
The heartfelt messages from fans encouraged each of their favorite contestants: "We believe in Yoo Seungyun. Don't worry too much and keep searching for your dream," "We'll always be your strong support, so don't worry and do your best to achieve your debut," "Fighting. Let's debut," and "I'm proud of you for always giving your all."
Overwhelmed by the warm sentiments, the contestants couldn't help but shed tears. Yoo Seungyun shared his feelings, saying, "I'm so happy to have fans who sincerely like me during my time on "Boys Planet"." Park Geonwook revealed, "When I first started filming, I was a trainee that nobody knew."
Park continued, "Through the 'Boys Planet' broadcast, we were able to prove the value of the tears and sweat we've shed so far." He added, "No matter the result in the finals, we have so many fans supporting us, and we believe in them just as they believe in us. We won't stop until we achieve our dreams."
The contestants also collectively expressed their love for their fans by shouting, "We love you, Star Creators," and presenting a performance of 'Not Alone.'
Meanwhile, it was announced that the debut group name for the 'Boys Planet' TOP9 would be "ZEROBASEONE" or "ZB1". Hwang Minhyun explained that '"ZEROBASEONE" represents the journey of the nine trainees coming together as one after their debut.
