Fifty Fifty's 'Cupid' Sparks Impromptu Sing-Along at Arizona Restaurant
K-pop group Fifty Fifty has captured the hearts of international fans.
On April 15th (KST), a short video titled "When a restaurant becomes an Asian dance club" was posted on the global short video platform TikTok.
The video, lasting about 10 seconds, features young patrons of a restaurant in Arizona, USA, singing along to Fifty Fifty's song "Cupid." One man dressed in black even stands up and performs the arrow-shooting dance move from "Cupid," further fueling the enthusiastic atmosphere. Other customers followed suit, also performing the arrow-shooting gesture.
Released on February 24th, Fifty Fifty's first single "Cupid" has become a global hit, striking a chord with international fans. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 100 on April 1st, a remarkable achievement just four months after their debut.
"Cupid," with its memorable lyrics expressing the honest feelings of rejection after a confession, gained attention from international fans after a netizen re-edited the pre-chorus of the English version of the song and shared it on TikTok, where it quickly went viral.
