Brave Girls’ Agency Warns Malicious Commenters Of Legal Action
Brave Girls' agency, Brave Entertainment, released a statement to warn people of posting malicious comments against the 4-member girl group. Through the band's fan cafe, the company announced that it would be taking legal action if anyone would post slanderous comments or spread groundless rumors about Brave Girls.
Brave Entertainment revealed that it has already finished piling up evidence, and some of these were from the company's own monitoring while the others were gathered through tip-offs. These will be used for filing lawsuits later to protect the agency's artists.
A law firm was also hired as well as it plans to continue suing people who deliberately commit malicious actions against Brave Girls and its other artists. The move comes after the firm found libelous posts and false stories online.
"We recently discovered many defamatory posts with malicious slander, circulation of groundless false information, personal attacks, etc. about our agency's artists," Soompi quoted Brave Entertainment as saying via a statement to warn future offenders. "We will continue to take legal action regularly for malicious actions against our agency's artists, and we will absolutely not show any leniency."
At any rate, Korea's News Directory3 reported that Brave Entertainment's tough action seems to be a response to Brave Girls' Yuna's recent comments that unexpectedly triggered issues. It was mentioned that the said member appeared on Naver NOW broadcast on June 25, and at one point, she said, "I won 5 trillion points," as a reply to a question.
Some groups who saw the episode reportedly raised suspicions that Yuna's remarks actually have meanings and they are about hatred towards men. In particular, one commenter pointed out that the phrase "five trillions of people" is commonly used to say that males have a lot of charms, but it is also used as an expression to mean hatred for men. This has become a controversy and continues to spread, so Brave Entertainment immediately took action to stop it from escalating further.
