VIXX's Hyuk Spreads Awareness About Drunk Driving On Social Media
VIXX's Hyuk shared his sentiments and posted a personal message spreading the message about drunk driving.
On June 23, VIXX's Hyuk posted on his Instagram account to never drink and drive.
According to his agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, it was reported that Hyuk already lost a close younger cousin that was involved in an incident because of drunk driving. The late cousin of Hyuk was the victim of a driver who violated traffic signals.
One of the reasons the accident happened because the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. Another cousin of Hyuk also shared a post on the government petition website and asking for more severe punishments for drunk drivers.
According to the family of the cousin of Hyuk, the driver of the fatal drunk driving incident that happened received a prison sentence. He was given three years imprisonment at the beginning of this year.
Moreover, the family also released a statement that said that the defendant had a blood-alcohol level of 0.124. It was well over the limit to get someone's license to be suspended. However, the court only pronounced on judging him with the charge of violating traffic signals.
Even though the prosecution has requested a prison sentence of seven years because it was a violation of driving under the influence, the court lowered it. It was down to three years because they said that the defendant was repenting.
The statement continued that drunk driving incidents kept rising, but they wanted to make a change right now. The family wished for a prison sentence of eight years for those who committed severe DUI incidents.
Many unfortunate people already lost their lives. Even right now, there are still people who continually drunk driving and ignoring both common sense and the law. The bereaved family hopes that there will no longer be any victims due to these kinds of people.
