HIGHLIGHT Is Now Complete And Ready For Their First Comeback
Highlight made its first comeback since the members returned from completing their mandatory military service. The last comeback they made was in November 2018 with their album 'Outro,' however, Yoon DooJoon did not participate in the promotion as he has enlisted ahead that year.
During the online press conference, Yoon Doojoon said that there was a fantastic time to spare. Yang Yoseob noted that he thought of it for a lot of time to get it right, but it would also be wrong to say that he did not feel pressured.
The group has been continuously preparing for the comeback for nearly two months and hoping to develop a good album.
Lee Gikwang participated in producing and writing the new title track, "Not the End." He added that he worked hard on it, and the other members voted for it. They also did a blind test with the other three of their songs and ended up choosing "Not the End."
Other members gave suggestions as they were doing the recordings and made an enjoyable time while preparing. Lee Gikwang also thought about what the other members are good at while he was making the song.
The group also talked about how K-pop has changed since its last comeback. Yang Yoseob said that since the pandemic began, he thought more about his junior artists and how much they wanted to meet their fans.
Highlight's mindset also changed after returning from the military, although it is hard for them to say what exactly has changed. Moreover, Yoon Doojoon sees tremendous gratitude for little things since they will make music together.
A slight disappointment also came because after finishing their service, there still were not many chances to meet their fans offline. Nevertheless, the hopes are up for them to meet their fans along its way.
