Shin Minah's Former Agency Addresses Issue Regarding Alleged Sexual Harrasment and Bullying From Groupmates
Previously, Shin Minah, popularly known as 'Cocoah' on YouTube, ended up going to her channel to address her long-time concerns and sufferings. After the revelation, ILUV members became subjects to public scrutiny and condemnation.
She disclosed that the members threatened her and even coerced her to watch footage of them having intimate intercourse with their boyfriends; all this led her to attempt suicide. Her last YouTube video shocked her followers after revealing that she tried to commit suicide and failed to die the evening before.
According to the reports, she started going down to the Han River. Fortunately, a cop rescued her before the tragedy happened.
Minah was allegedly poorly treated by all the members and lived in terror for the past six months. She eventually came to share her side of the story. She also took to Instagram to show her pain as she was unable to rest, function, and tried to stay away from social media to support her psychological health.
On July 16, 2020, an official statement from WKS ENE Entertainment was released, which said that ILUV is being revamped and is planning to re-emerge with more members under a new name, BOTOPASS.
The agency denied all accusations made by Minah and responded that they were entirely false. The agency also reported that Minah had already been in hiatus for health problems since January and demanded that the agency prolong her rest. (via Koreaboo)
The agency has said that it would step up to defend the existing members affected negatively and hurt by Minah's accusations. Ultimately, WKS ENE Entertainment will be lodging a civil complaint with no leniency to court and also have asked the public not to give nor express an opinion on this topic in the interest of the present members.
On the other hand, Shin Minah continues to suffer insomnia and panic attacks, as previously revealed on her Instagram post. She also asked her abusers for an immediate apology for the things they've done to her.
