Song Joong Ki Confirmed To Host #2020MAMA
South Korean actor from Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Song Joong Ki, will headline the music festival's hosting duties and award-giving body—Mnet Asian Music Awards.
#2020MAMA's stage will pave the way for a prominent host
In a Soompi report, referencing Sports DongA's finds, the 35-year-old actor Song Joong Ki is announced as the primary host of this year's Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). The vast announcement comes in handy on November 24 (Tuesday), shocking the awards show's fans and the actors.
"Song Joong Ki has been confirmed as the host for 2020 MAMA," a credible source from Mnet confirmed the news. The source blurted out the fact to Maeil Business Star Today, with the outlet sharing the information through its publication.
As per Allkpop, Song Joong Ki will surely nail the prominent awards show and music festival's hosting duties with the theme Gate To NEW-TOPIA. It is the actor's first hosting stint since 2018, where he previously acted as the lead host of various famous festivities and awards events.
Song Joong Ki is one of South Korea's most-sought MCs, considering he is well trained and experienced. He already hosted significant events in the past, making fans conclude that the upcoming #2020MAMA will be a no sweat for the actor.

"Came back after a long time! Introducing you to the best host of the 2020 MAMA, SONG JOONG KI!" Mnet wrote in of its Twitter post. Per Pinkvilla, the Descendants of the Sun star, hosted a MAMA four times now, and this will mark his return to the stage as a host.
Meanwhile, the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards will be held in a non-face-to-face setup, in light of the COVID-19 restriction mandated by the South Korean government.
The event will be taking place on December 6, all the way from South Korea!
