Actor Kim Ji Hoon Issues Apology After Spotted Watching Illegally Downloaded TV Show
The Flower of Evil star Kim Ji Hoon has apologized after he was spotted watching an illegally downloaded TV show on Home Alone (I Live Alone).
Through Big Picture Entertainment, the actor's agency, the actor shared, "Hello, this is Kim Ji Hoon. First, I'm sorry for causing discomfort to the viewers through the episode of MBC's 'Home Alone' on November 6."
The actor continued in his statement that he is deeply sorry for behaving in a way that did not respect copyright even though he is an actor. Kim Ji Hoon also promised to work harder to become an actor who is more careful about his actions.
Kim Ji Hoon's Mishap
Home Alone's November 6 episode featured Kim Ji Hoon watching an American TV show Raised by Wolves. The show is an original series that is exclusively airing on the streaming service, HBO Max.
Since HBO Max is not available in South Korea, there is currently no legal way to stream the country's show. Additionally, it can be seen that the version Kim Ji Hoon was watching had Korean subtitles. This somehow increases suspicion that it was an illegal download.
As stated by a source from Home Alone, the show will be removing all footage of Kim Ji Hoon watching the show. This includes reruns and VOD. The show also promised to be more careful about observing the behaviors of cast members while filming.
Kim Ji Hoon Revealing His Lifestyle In Home Alone
The episode of Home Alone, with the actor being featured, shocked the studio's cast seeing the actor still asleep at 1:35 PM. Kim Ji Hoon then revealed that he is a deep sleeper.
After waking up, he checked right away the stock market using his phone and sighed over the stocks he'd bought going down.
Kim Ji Hoon revealed in the interview that he's been living on his own for 14 years. With a laugh, he admitted that he usually starts his day by checking on his stocks.
