BTS Universe Drama: Seven Main Actors Confirmed As Cast!
The new BTS Universe drama has confirmed its seven talented and charming main actors!
YOUTH is a drama that follows seven boys on their growing up journey. The characters will have fictional narratives with different stories to tell through metaphors and symbolism. The following actors confirmed its leading roles were Seo Ji Hoon, Noh Jong Hyun, Ahn Ji Ho, Seo Young Joo, Kim Yoon Woo, Jung Woo Jin, and Jeon Jin Seo.
First, Seo Ji Hoon plays the role of Kim Seok Jin, who gives an aura of perfection yet struggling to express emotions. He felt stuck by his father's life plans for him. Being an ideal son, it changes when transferring to other schools and meets the other characters. He could finally reveal his true feelings and accepts them.
Another actor was Noh Jong Hyun portraying Min Yoo Gi, who is absorbed with wild rumors. Although he is cold on the outside, yet, he possessed inside a heart of gold. It goes with him the story of murdering his mom and set fire to his home.
In reality, after losing his mom, who means the world to him, he finds comfort in the piano. Through his friend Jung Kook, who accepted him for who he is, he finally takes his troubled past and tries to get over from the pain it caused him.
Ahn Ji Ho is a rookie actor who already built an impressive skill in some movies. He will portray as Jung Ho Seok, an optimistic dance prodigy. He has grown to have positive energy even though abandoned at an amusement park at a young age.
Seo Young Joo will play the role of Kim Nam Joon, who dreams of having an everyday life. Because of his terrible situations, he got a sense of how harsh the real world can be, which helped him become responsible. He lives as the best student while handling multiple part-time jobs at the same time.
Kim Yoon Woo takes the role of Park Ji Min, who hides so many secrets behind his smiles. Due to his overprotective family, he is struggling to have a sense of identity.
Another actor was Jung Woo Jin plays as Kim Tae Hyung, a character with a story that is full of pain and hardships. He hopes that his father, who became an alcoholic after his wife left, will someday go back to be a loving father before.
Lastly, Jeon Jin Seo will take the role of Jeon Jung Kook, who never experiences happiness because of growing up in an unstable home. He always doubts on the purpose of life and the reason behind his existence.
The drama's production team commented that YOUTH would display the seven boys' realities refreshingly while focusing on their underlying emotions.
There is an understanding of the characters' acting skills, chemistry, and even their roles as actors were of more significance than anything else. They also encourage viewers to look forward to the seven boys' synergy that will complete the BTS universe story.
The upcoming drama YOUTH sets to premiere sometime in 2021.
