MOMOLAND Ties Up With ICM Partners For A Global Taste
MOMOLAND is now gearing for a performance on the global stage as they signed a contract with ICM Partners!
According to the Soompi, on June 29, the sextet signed a contract with ICM partners, as revealed by its agency MLD Entertainment. ICM is one of the top three global agencies in the United States representing artists; Nicki Minaj, Yuna, Kehlani, Khalid, and many more.
ICM (International Creative Management) Partners represents clients in motion pictures, television, music, publishing, live performance, branded entertainment, and new media.
Just recently, International Creative Management also signed other Kpop artists such as Chung Ha, AleXa, as well as Ha Sung Woon’s agency Star Crew Management.
The vice president of ICM Partners- John Pleeter said, “We’re thrilled to be representing MOMOLAND, who are now primed for the world stage. From ‘Finding Momoland,’ the girls have risen to global sensations. With our partners KAMP Global and MLD Entertainment, ICM Partners will continue to grow the MOMOLAND brand through multiple platforms at the agency.”
John Pleeter also added that due to the postponements of the touring of artists brought by the coronavirus pandemic, ICM sees investment in MOMOLAND soon.
Before the announcement of MLD entertainment, ICM, on June 22, already announced that MOMOLAND is the latest Kpop artist to sign with U.S representation, according to Forbes.
MOMOLAND was formed by MLD Entertainment (formerly known as Duble Kick Company) through a reality survival show called “Finding Momoland.” The winners of the show Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy, became the first seven members of the group.
The girl group debuted on November 10, 2016, with the EP “Welcome to Momoland.” The group was added with two members Daisy and Taeha, in 2017, but later on, Taeha, Yeonwoo, and Daisy Left the group.
MOMOLAND become a sensation for viral hits “Baam” and “Bboom Bboom” that made them the first girl group to earn Platinum Certification by Gaon Music Award on August 9, 2018.
Earlier this month, MOMOLAND released a new unique album titled “Starry Night.”
