Moon Chae Won To The Characters Of 'Flower of Evil' After Finale: "I Think They'll Live Happily"
Moon Chae Won revealed in an interview about her time working on the show after the finale of tvN's popular drama "Flower of Evil."
The actress shared that she put her heart into the project more than any other work. "I was very fond of it, and so I did my best to portray the role of Cha Ji Won and her emotions as truthfully as possible."
Moon Chae Won revealed that the process was exhausting and challenging, but she's satisfied because the result was rewarding since she did her best. She also extended her thanks to all the cast and crew, especially to Director Kim Chul Kyu, saying that when he hugged her after filming, it felt very bittersweet, and she cried a lot.
Moon Chae Won, in the drama, performed the role of Cha Ji Won, who was so eager to find out the real identity of the husband (played by Lee Joon Gi) she had loved for 14 years.
When asked how she prepared for the role, she said she tried to be like Ji Won, who is the same inside and out. Who's honest about her emotions and is very aware of how precious people are. Moons Chae Won, while acting the role, emphasizes trying to portray how sincere she is.
The drama, when it comes to ratings, came to a successful conclusion, recording its highest score in the finale. When asked whether she'd felt the great response from viewers to the drama series and her character following the conclusions, she said that she saw through comments and the realtime reactions that a lot of people loved the drama. Still, she was touched even more when she saw their fans' support posts and posts about their thoughts. "I was grateful because the generous support from our fans gave me so much strength."
When the actress was asked if it was hard to portray the many changing emotions of her character, with a laugh, Moon Chae Won replied that she already expected since the planning stages that it would be difficult. And that Ji Won would be going through a rollercoaster of changes in emotion. However, she said, once she started acting, it was more difficult and exhausting than she'd imagined. That's because Ji Won's changes in emotion were more dynamic, and she put a lot of thought into how to convey that in a convincing way to the viewers. "I was glad that all that hard work created good scenes."
Finally, when Moon Chae Won was asked to share what she thinks happens after the "Flower of Evil" finale. The actress then replied, "I think they'll live happily because Hyun Soo and Ji Won shouldn't feel any more pain or sadness."
As per ibTimes, the final episode of the much loved and successful drama achieved an average nationwide rating of 5.7 % and reached an impressive peak of 6.6 %, which was the highest ratings the drama attained during its entire run, according to Nielsen Korea.
