Choi Jin Hyuk Shows His Dancing Skills In ‘Zombie Detective’
KBS 2TV’s “Zombie Detective” has released a new peek of the drama’s next episode!
The comedy-drama “Zombie Detective” tells about a zombie in his second year of resurrection who desperately searches for the truth about his past after becoming a detective. Choi Jin Hyuk stars the titular zombie detective, Kim Moo Young, who struggles to adapt to his new life and coexist with humans. Taking on the role of Gong Seon Ji is Park Ju Hyun, a writer of an investigative journalism program with unrivaled tenacity, optimism, and a sense of justice.
Kim Moo Young, in the first episode, awoke as a zombie at a medical waste landfill. He coincidentally ran into Gong Seon Ji and became shocked by his instinctive hunger for meat. He was able to resist taking a bite of her, though, and instead, he decided to wait until he could eat beef tripe hot pot patiently.
Furthermore, in the next episode, Kim Moo Young will be discovering a new restaurant that sells beef tripe hot pot. The zombie in the latest stills is glancing hungrily towards the food. He carefully approaches the sign, and vigilantly waits for a chance to get a meal. He then mixes into a group of part-time workers dressed up as zombies and dances along with them in his desperation for beef tripe hot pot.
The Singing Zombie
Choi Jin Hyuk, in the previous teaser, is in the format of an MV. He sings YB’s “Mint Candy” on the September 5 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Song.”
The teaser presents the pitiful life of a zombie along with the lyrics that seem to convey the sadness of having to live a lonely existence as an undead zombie who has completely forgotten his memories.
With Choi Jin Hyuk singing the lyrics, “I want to go back to those innocent times,” he captivated the hearts of the audience, reflecting Kim Moo Young’s longing for his past life. The performance is overlapped with scenes of Kim Moo Young running aimlessly through the forest in the night, which highlights Kim Moo Young’s complicated feelings on the inside after unexpectedly coming back to life.
