Korean Netizens Choose Most-Liked 2nd Generation Girl Group Songs In K-Pop
Korean netizens held an online community talk where they selected which K-pop girl group debuted in the sophomore generation are their likes. Kpopstarz has listed the results below.
GIRLS GENERATION’S ‘GEE’
‘Gee’ is one of Girl generation’s breakthrough songs as it sings of a sweet, bubblegum pop song that shares the girls’ feelings when they are in love. The song is a massive success in the country, earning nine consecutive wins on Music Bank and three consistent weeks on Inkigayo.
APINK’S ‘MR. CHU’
‘Mr. Chu’ is a song that possesses sultry concepts and is considered as an enlivening track that carries light and brightness. The said song made Apink as “K-pop’s ultimate sweethearts.”
Furthermore, the Apink bagged six music show wins and the recognition of being the eighth best0selling digital single of 2014. Due to its popularity, it was used as a song for a television commercial.
MISS A’s ‘I DON’T NEED A MAN’
‘I Don’t Need A Man’ is a song dropped by Miss A in 2012, as the lead track of their album entitled ‘Independent Women Part III.’
The said song is singing about women being strong and powerful, and how they don’t solely the help of a man for them to be saved.
f(x)’s ‘ELECTRIC SHOCK’
The said song sings of its title, leaving its listeners in total shock but enthralled at the same time. Upon the release of ‘Electric Shock,’ the music dominated Gaon Chart’s digital and single download chart, selling over 630,510 copies in its initial week.
T-ARA’S ‘ROLY-POLY’
‘Roly-Poly’ was made known in 2011 as a piece of the band’s ‘John Travolta Wannabe’ album. The track earned more than 4.8 million downloads and was hailed as the most downloaded song of 2011.
WONDER GIRL’S ‘TELL ME’
‘Tell Me’ was released 13 years ago as part of Wonder Girls’ debut album entitled ‘The Wonder Years.’ It is one of the group’s chart-topping records, dominating various airplay charts in the country.
