Actor Seo Ji Hoon Denies Getting Cast In BTS-Inspired Drama 'Blue Sky'
Earlier on August 24, media outlets published an article claiming that actor Seo Ji Hoon will perform the role of a member of the BTS in the new drama entitled Blue Sky created by Chorokbaem Media. The press officials have confirmed that the other performers were all selected and prepared to go.
However, before the production began shooting this month, they postponed all operations until further notice because of the rapid spike of COVID-19 cases.
Blue Sky will cover BTS' narrative from their school years up to their breakout success as an official band. While the drama's general theme would be about the tale of BTS, other specifics will also be included and plots added-on. Moreover, they would be using different names from the members' actual names.
Producer Kim Hae Hong will write the drama series screenplay with Kim Soo Jin. Seo Ji Hoon, who starred in the series 'To All The Guys Who Loved Me,' was recently rumored to be playing as one of the cast. After reports of this went out, a public statement was made by Seo Ji Hoon's agency confirming they never got an invitation to this project.
"We haven't even got a proposal for this show. Seo Ji Hoon's forthcoming venture has not been verified yet. This is the first instance we have ever learned of this film. No scripts of the same title have been received yet." - (via Koreaboo)
