CIX Announces Halt Of Comeback Plans Until Bae Jin Young Recovers
CIX’s agency, C9 Entertainment, has revealed plans for the group’s comeback on August 17 and released an official statement sharing details about member Bae Jin Young’s recovery.
The group’s comeback, previously, with their third mini-album “HELLO Chapter 3 Hello, Strange Time,” was postponed due to Bae Jin Young, who suffered an ankle injury in June.
The agency then stated that they are looking at October as the possible schedule for the comeback. This is to slate the album release close to the date of their upcoming fan meeting and provide ample time for Bae Jin Young to fully recover from his recent operation brought by the ankle injury.
The C9 Entertainment, based on their official statement, says that Bae Jin Young was diagnosed with a sprain of his foot joint in June and had been receiving medication and undergoing therapy. Even though his specialist said that he is fully cured, he still undergoes rehabilitation to regain strength in the surrounding muscle. The specialist said that he should not have difficulty performing intense choreography after September 9.
The agency continued that for the third comeback of CIX with their mini-album “Hello Chapter 3. Hello, Strange Time,” they considered many options like having CIX perform as four members or having Bae Jin Young perform while seated. However, the team decided to postpone the album release to have a comeback with all five members.
The C9 Entertainment said that they are currently rescheduling the release date of the postponed album. And they are trying to release the album close to their fan meeting in early October. The said fan meeting was initially scheduled in February, but due to COVID-19, it was also postponed to a later date.
The agency also opened up possibilities that the government guidelines might postpone or cancel their fan meeting, just like in February, July, and August. But they noted that even if the fan meeting is changed, the CIX’s comeback will proceed as planned.
“We would like to urge your understanding again regarding the CIX’s album debut postponement due to unavoidable circumstances. Surely, we will do our best to ensure all the members of CIX can work together as soon as possible.”
