The suspect in the death case of BJ Ayoung (Byun Ah-young) has broken their silence.

On the 28th, a video titled "Shocking Update on BJ Ayoung Case! Chilling Reason Why Wife Breaks Silence" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Entertainment BackTalk Lee Jin-ho'.

Lee Jin-ho explained, "According to recent statements by the Foreign National Protection Department, the charges of 'murder involving torture, cruel treatment, or rape' applied to the Chinese couple in their 30s are not specific charges under the local legal system, but a category applied at the time of indictment. Hence, it's not conclusive that the cause of death was torture and assault."

He continued, "There were reports of signs of beatings on the face and body, but it's necessary to determine whether these injuries occurred before the deceased's death or during the process of abandonment. During the abandonment, she could have been thrown into a puddle and injuries could have occurred on the neck or other parts."

Lee Jin-ho also emphasized the importance of an autopsy and added, "Initially, the deceased's family did not want an autopsy, but they changed their stance after being persuaded by the embassy. Considering the local circumstances, the autopsy results will likely take at least a month."

He revealed that a representative from a domestic broadcasting company who went to report on the incident had a direct meeting with the wife at the detention center. "The wife stated, 'It's true that we abandoned the deceased's body. However, we did not kill, torture, or assault her.'"

Lee Jin-ho mentioned, "The couple clearly stated why they abandoned the body and what led to the death, but I refrain from speaking out of respect for the family's position and the deceased's honor."

He concluded, "The conclusion will vary depending on the results of the autopsy and how the Cambodian police decide to investigate, as these are one-sided claims."
