Girl group BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) is expected to remain with YG Entertainment as their contract expiration approaches in August.

According to a Star News report on April 4th, all four BLACKPINK members are leaning towards renewing their contracts with YG Entertainment.

Sources close to the members revealed that, with only about four months left until their contracts expire, the BLACKPINK members intend to continue their relationship with YG Entertainment unless there are any particular issues.

The ongoing world tour appears to have influenced their decision.

BLACKPINK is currently in the midst of the largest-scale K-pop girl group world tour, meeting 1.5 million fans globally.

The group successfully completed 14 North American concerts in seven cities last year and wrapped up their European tour with ten shows in seven cities. They are now meeting with their Asian fans.

In mid-April, they are scheduled to perform as headliners at the US "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival" and the UK "Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival" in July.

The members' trust in YG Entertainment seems to have increased through their achievements and plans as a team called "BLACKPINK."

Since their official debut on August 8th, 2016, BLACKPINK has been active for nearly seven years and has risen to become a global top girl group. They have achieved dazzling records on prestigious international charts, including Billboard, and each member has established themselves as a "global hot icon" by serving as global brand ambassadors.

If BLACKPINK renews their contract in August, YG Entertainment will continue its strong K-pop presence with G-Dragon, BLACKPINK, WINNER, AKMU, TREASURE, and the soon-to-debut girl group, BABYMONSTER.
