BTS Bags New Guinness World Records Title + Charts Three Albums On Billboard 200
The Guinness World Records title for most viewed virtual concert goes to BTS!
Per Soompi, BTS achieved another title in their world record collections on July 22, as the Guinness World Records announced that the superstars are now holding the new title for the most viewers for a music concert Livestream.
The milestone was achieved through the latest online concert conducted by BTS, “BANG BANG CON: The Live,” which streamed on June 14. Reports came after the broadcast that the virtual show drawn 756,600 people from 107 different countries worldwide.
The pay-per-view concert was distributed through Big Hit Entertainment platforms WeVerse and Kiswe Mobile, a U.S.-based live-streaming company. With their partnership, fans faced another level of virtual experience as they were able to access six camera angles throughout the show.
“BANG BANG CON: The Live” now has the remarkable highest number of viewers who tuned in for the live telecast Guinness have ever witnessed.
Meanwhile, as reported by Billboard, via Korea JoongAng Daily, BTS’ fourth full-length album, “Map of the Soul: 7,” BTS’ Japanese album “Map of the Soul: 7-the Journey-“ and its repackaged album “Love Yourself: Answer” were in the Billboard Top 200.
“The Journey,” which was released on July 15, debuted at number 115 while the BTS’ 2018 release, “Love Yourself: Answer,” rose to 50 spots from last week to Number 146.
Moreover, on Billboard’s World Albums chart, BTS is dominating the first three spots with their hit albums “Map of the Soul: 7,” “The Journey,” and “Love Yourself: Answer.” There is no other act that has achieved the feat even once, dating to the list’s 1990 launch, as per Billboard.
BTS’ fourth Japanese full album “Map of the Soul: 7 –The Journey-“ includes 13 songs with the Japanese version of their previous Korean Tracks and two new original Japanese songs: the title track “Stay Gold” and “Your Eyes Tell,” which was co-written by Jungkook.
