On July 15, the sequel of the 2016 hit movie "Train To Busan," "Peninsula," surpassed the 1 million mark movie-goers. The movie sequel, which finally took place after four years, stars Lee Jung Hyun alongside Kang Dong-won, Lee Re, Kwon Hae Hyo, Min Jae, and many more.
In the interview, per Soompi, Lee Jung Hyun talked about how she was able to join the "Peninsula," where she shared that she received a call from the director of the movie saying that he wants to work with Lee Jung Hyun.
The director personally sent the script to the actress, who is admittedly a fan of the movie since she was still making animated films.
The actress shared that, before "Train to Busan" came into the big screen, she also released a zombie-themed music video filmed by Park Chan Wook. With the experience, Lee Jung Hyun noted that zombies are her kind of thing.
In speaking about the action scenes of "Peninsula," the actress said that she underwent training in an action-school for two to three months. But Lee Jung Hyun noted that she was not exhausted with the big action scenes because the director's cuts and timing are correctly calculated.
When asked about the chemistry between the actress and his co-star Kang Dong-Won, Lee Jung Hyun commented that the actor is perfect for action roles. Kang Dong Won executes action scenes very well.
The promising actress also expressed that all their scenes together with Kang Dong Won are all effortless and matched-up though they didn't have any bloopers along with the filming.
With high hopes about her career, Lee Jung Hyun said she wants to be an actress until she gets old and eventually dies.
Lee Jung Hyun added that she admires veteran actors for doing well on their crafts, even how old they get. She continued," I hope that the phrase "actress Lee Jung Hyun" never gets unpleasant."
