In the Korean entertainment world, several stars got embroiled in controversies in 2020. Simultaneously, in the Korean movie industry, many actors have now been arrested and jailed this year.

Ahn Joon Young & Kim Yong Bum
For the Produce 101 season, Ahn Joon Young has been the PD (producing director), whereas Kim Yong Bum has been the CP (chief producer). When it was disclosed that they had manipulated the series' votes, both of them faced tremendous criticism, and an arrest warrant was quickly authorized.
They were both sentenced to jail because they deceived the public and manipulated votes on the show. Both of them have issued an apology for their crimes.
Huang Zhibo
Huang Zhibo is a previous trainee from Yuehua Entertainment who has been embroiled in a major controversy. When it was reported that he had posted misleading marketing details about facemasks, he started facing criticism and took advanced deposits, but did not turn up at the accepted gathering spot to distribute the facemasks.
He was later thrown out of Yuehua Entertainment and convicted to a jail term of 3 years and three months.
Jung Joon Young & Choi Jong Hoon
In 2019, these two were convicted to imprisonment, but in 2020, they obtained their ultimate prison terms. It was publicized in 2019 that Jung Joon Young had sexually harassed and abused women, videotaped them secretly, and posted these images on a chat room consisting of other personalities.
Much of this was performed without the women 's permission. Choi Jong Hoon has been one of the stars participating in this group chat.
Jung Joon Young & Choi Jong Hoon were both arrested and convicted not soon after this was announced. The two artists appealed for their punishments to be significantly reduced.
However, the two were eventually sentenced to jail in 2020, with Jung Joon Young convicted to five years and Choi Jong Hoon imprisoned to two years and six months
